Biography

Seattle-based painter, Scott Chreist, has been honing his skills in abstract acrylic for the past several years. Originally a behavioral scientist, Chreist blended his observational skills with his passion for expression, bringing about a perfect pairing of his two passions.

Chreist’s evolution into abstract acrylic allowed him to introduce another element to this union and extend the range of his talent even further. His use of wine, music, and memory fragmentation allows Chreist to challenge the boundaries of acrylic painting – using a wine wash, pigment, and clay to tell stories that explore the depths of memory and composition.
